And perhaps,

we all give the best of our hearts uncritically to those who hardly think about us in return?

Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. But no matter what has happened, or what will happen,  remember that you will never lose your value, and that you are special. Never forget that.

Pray. For the 200,000 dead, for the 600,000 homeless, for the families of the deceased, and for those that may, by a miracle, still be alive beneath the dust.
Don’t stop believing that it’ll turn out better.

Monstrosity.

Current earworms include Yesterday by The Beatles, You Think I Don’t Care by Jack MacManus and Two Is Better Than One by Boys Like Girls.

It strikes me that I’ve actually mellowed down a lot. I don’t worry that much about what people say or think eitherr. I think it’s good, but sometimes I wonder where that part of me went. School is still one big trance-like torpor, each day passes unlike the other. Sometimes the highlight is doing well on a test, sometimes it’s actually managing to produce something for the test. And sometimes, more than others, it’s only when the bell rings to signal the end of the bleeding day does one feel absolutely at peace and unaffected by the blur we call education.

By the way, I love how confused I’m getting. Thanks.

My mother had painted the white roses red and now she claimed they grew that way.

Prioritize.

What’s gonna take you places?
What’s gonna give you security?
What’s important now, or what’s important later?
Pain now, pleasure later — that’s what they all say.

There is no doubt in my mind that “later” will not be pleasurable, at least not ’til I’m well above 60 and am still fit, healthy and do not suffer from dementia. We spend all our lives studying, learning, memorizing… I don’t deny that to some, learning is a joy in life, without which we’d be living pretty boring, uneventful and shallow existences. However, I don’t think that it’s right that we focus so much energy on one paper after the other after the other to prove that you are worth something in the world today.

Aren’t we more than just words on a piece of paper?
